The new plan begins the revegetation of property that needs an environmental refresh and blends the project in with the natural landscape. We’ve increased setbacks, added screening, reconfigured access, and reduced the project footprint so that it’s entirely secluded.
The solar project will be built on soil not suitable for agriculture, avoiding wetlands, critical habitat, and historical resources. It will help restore former timberland back to health.
While generating affordable power for Culpeper County, the project will also bring in substantial revenue for the county while fulfilling county policy.
